The incorporation of the selected person would be made to the Pilot Plant department of the research center.
The selected candidate is expected to perform the following tasks:
- Analysis and in-depth understanding of the specifications and expected characteristics of the CIIAE pilot plants.
- Optimize maintenance activities and equipment operating conditions.
- Proposal and implementation of improvements in pilot plants and their auxiliary systems (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electromechanical, refrigeration, etc.) according to their performance and operational needs.
- Preparation of maintenance manuals for the different equipment and plants.
- Recording of interventions on equipment and systems.
- Elaboration of the annual maintenance plan for buildings, facilities and pilot plants.
- Preparation and review of the list of critical spare parts in stock.
- Follow-up of the construction, assembly and commissioning of the plants.
- Training in the O&M of plants.
- Design of work plans and safety protocols.
- Drafting of technical documentation.
- Review of plant safety and regulatory compliance.
- O&M of plants, workshops, laboratories and offices.
- Workshop and prototyping work.
- Proposal of equipment and operational improvements.

To be evaluated (adds points to the final evaluation):
- Letter of motivation to be included in the application.
- Knowledge and experience in maintenance techniques, and specifically in CMMS, ideally connected with BIM.
- Interpretation of schematics and drawings.
- Expertise, in training and/or experience, in the center's areas of work, especially in Hydrogen and Power-to-X, power electronics, electrochemical storage, heat generation and transfer, and thermal storage.
- Experience in energy storage or in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of power or industrial plants (preferably in the energy sector).
- Workshop and/or FabLab experience.
- Knowledge and experience in software and languages commonly used in industry, modeling and research (Excel, Power BI, Matlab, Simulink, Simscape, Autocad, Revit, Hyperworks, SolidWorks, PSSE, Python, etc.).
- Other technical training in relation to the area: courses, master's degree, specialization, etc.
- Stays in other research centres or R+D departments.
- Knowledge of other languages, especially Portuguese.
- Experience in establishing collaborative relationships with industry or in scientific-technical areas linked to Research and Development or Transfer activities and projects.
- Participation and/or collaboration in R+D+i / business projects.
Requisitos
The selected person is required to have:
Academic background required:
- Engineer (Pre-Bolonia) or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a Master's Degree. (Preferably of Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Chemical specialties).
Other education:
- Candidates who expect to obtain the required academic qualification by September may apply for this position, being a necessary condition for a possible incorporation to have applied for the official qualification before October.
Professional experience:
